Course 3
Notice your thoughts, challenge old patterns, and choose a truer story, so the narrative running in your head stops quietly writing your life for you.
Notice the automatic thoughts running in the background of your day before they run you.
Tell the difference between a narrative that's familiar and one that's actually true.
Recognize fear, defensiveness, comparison, and self-protection for what they are, not what they claim to be.
Work with limiting stories instead of being quietly controlled by them.
Choose narratives that support who you're becoming, not just who you've always been.
Catch the running commentary in your mind instead of mistaking it for fact.
Learn to tell the difference between an old story and what's actually happening right now.
Understand what these patterns are protecting you from, and what they're quietly costing you.
See how these patterns shape your decisions in the background, and start loosening their grip.
Practice selecting narratives that support real personal and professional transformation.
A Note Before You Begin
Awaken to Presence is designed to create meaningful change, not simply give you more information.
Resist the temptation to move quickly through the courses. Instead, give yourself time to absorb what you are learning and notice how it connects to your own thoughts, emotions, relationships, and everyday experiences.
I recommend moving through each course at a pace of no more than two lessons per week, allowing at least a day or two between lessons to review your notes, reflect on what stood out to you, and practice what you are learning.
For most courses, plan on spending at least two weeks working through the material. The Joy-Fueled Leader is a longer course, so give yourself additional time to move through it thoughtfully.
Included With the Bundle
If you purchased the complete Awaken to Presence bundle, you also have four individual coaching sessions included with the program. These sessions are an opportunity to take the learning even deeper by exploring what is coming up for you, applying the concepts to your own life and leadership, and getting support as you put what you are learning into practice.
The more space you give yourself to reflect, practice, and engage with the material, the more likely it is to move beyond something you understand intellectually and become part of how you actually live, lead, and relate to others.
Mastering the Inner Narrative is built on the Present Process Model. You'll start by building real awareness of the thoughts and stories running underneath your reactions, which creates space to question whether they're actually true. That space is where choice lives, and repeated choice, practiced daily, is what becomes lasting change in the story you tell about yourself.
